This review is for the Hollywood Traveler 4 Bike (1.25-Inch AND 2-Inch Receiver). I purchased this for a family vacation in order to transport my own bike plus 3 other family members bikes. Cycle Works did a great job of putting the rack together and mounting it on my Subaru. They also took the time to explain how to mount the bikes. I liked that the unit would fit both a 1.25 inch and 2 inch receiver, so that other family members could use it. I traveled over 2000 miles with this rack, with 4 bikes it did just fine. Helpful things to know: If you have a bike that is not a standard mens frame (a ladies bike, a smaller bike, mountain bike) purchase an adapter bar, as this rack seems to be designed for a perfectly horizontal cross bar on an adult bike. My nephew's 20" mountain bike and my sister in laws 25" inch mountain bike were a challenge to get mounted without an adapter. I used an adapter on my cruiser bike and it mounted easily. Also - get a swim noodle, cut it into pieces and slit lengthwise. I got this advice from another website. The bikes go on the rack rather close together. I used pieces of swim noodle on parts of bikes that were touching or close together to avoid scratches, and really helped. In addition to locking all 4 bikes to the rack with a cable, I also used a tie down strap for extra piece of mind, as I didn't want the bikes flying off on the interstate and causing an accident. However, I arrived at my destination with all four bikes still safely attached to the rack with the straps provided, so it probably wasn't needed; just a little extra piece of mind. This is a good quality bike rack for the money. It was economical, easy to use (I liked that there was a place to attach a lock and cable to on the rack), folds down nicely when not in use, and held up on a long distance trip over freeways, two lane highways, ferries, dirt roads and bad weather. I will say that it was definitely a challenge to get 4 bikes and off this rack but once on, they stayed put. If you are looking for a high end bike rack, this probably isn't going to appeal to you. If you just need an inexpensive, occasional rack that is still durable, this is the rack for you.

We needed a bike rack in a hurry, but there was no way we were going to but some giant box store junk. Some of the local high-end retailers had selections that were nice, but way out of our price range. We looked at this one, and for the price, it cannot be beat. The welds are solid and the construction heavy-duty. It even comes standard with an anti-rattle hitch pin. We've driven a few hundred miles on three different trips, with at least three bikes each time, and haven't had a single issue. Plus, it fold down fairly compact for storage in the garage. Love it.
